100KM in September

Monday 18th Aug

🏃‍♀️ This September, I’ll be running 100 kilometers. 🏃‍♀️

On paper, it’s a physical challenge — a test of endurance, discipline, and determination. But for me, it’s so much more than that.

Cancer is something that has touched my life in ways I wish it hadn’t. I have close family/friends who have been affected by this disease, and watching them go through it has been heartbreaking.

The toll cancer takes, not just on the body, but on the mind and spirit. There are so many people out there that face treatments that leave them exhausted, days where getting out of bed was/is a victory, and moments where fear and uncertainty weighed heavier than words can describe.

But, I’ve also seen the incredible strength these people have. I’ve seen courage in the darkest of times, resilience when the odds felt overwhelming, and love and laughter shining through even on the hardest days. Those moments remind me that while cancer is cruel, it can never take away hope.

Running 100k won’t come easy. There will be mornings I won’t want to lace up my trainers, days when my legs ache and my body feels like giving up. But that discomfort is nothing compared to what cancer patients and their families go through every single day. None the less I’m sure I will moan & there will be some sweaty, tired photographs 📸

Each kilometer I run is for them. For their battles, their bravery, and their resilience. For the people we’ve lost, for those still fighting, and for those who will face this disease in the future.

How Can You Help?

By supporting me in this challenge, you’re not just helping me reach a running goal — you’re helping raise vital funds and awareness for people affected by cancer. Every donation, big or small, means another step forward in the fight against this disease.

Even if you can’t donate, simply sharing this fundraiser or sending a message of encouragement will help keep me going when the miles feel long.

This challenge is about more than running. It’s about hope. Hope for better treatments, hope for more tomorrows, and hope that one day no one will have to go through what people close to me — and so many others — have faced.

Together, step by step, we can make a difference. And with your support, every mile I run will carry with it the hope of a brighter, stronger, cancer-free future.

Thank you, for being part of this journey with me.

Here’s to 100k, one hopeful step at a time.🏃‍♀️🙏
